Halloween

Even though Halloween is not celebrated in the Czech, traces of the holiday can be found here, and we were still able to celebrate with our American friends. We actually started the Saturday before with pumpkin carving at the Reeves' house. Cam & Jess both worked hard on their pumpkins, but neither are fans of the guts, so that was my job. Cameron made his own design while Jess went with a bat pattern.

On Halloween day we went to a little party at the King's house. Our friend Melinda had her Mother ship lots of goodies over to make the festivities more authentic. The kids played games, frosted cookies, bobbed for apples, and went on a trick-or-treat walk around the house.

These are the young guests (plus Val), most of whom are 3-4 years old. You wouldn't guess from this picture that Jess just turned 6!

Cam dunked his whole face to get the apple

Following the little party at the King's house we went to the Branch Halloween party where there were more fun activities for the kids. Here is Becca in her little doggie hat.

Jessica was a fairy

All in all we had a fun day, without all the hype found in the US, but I'll admit I did miss the traditional trick-or-treating.

Those are some creative pumpkins! You are right about Jessica - a mini - but so adorable. Thanks for keeping us updated on your life. Looks like you had a great time. We miss you all.

Glad you were able to find some Halloween fun there in the Czech. When you guys come back to the US (you are coming back, right?) we are gonna start having our Halloween parties again, just so I can see Bri in his Lunch Lady getup again...good stuff :) Miss you.
