I promised the kids we would go paddle boating sometime during the summer break. So all summer long, any time we passed by the river, we would see people in paddle boats and the kids would ask, "when are we going?" Finally, the last day before school started, we rented a paddle boat and headed out on the river for a few hours.
We took a picnic lunch with us and relaxed as we floated around. We had lots of swans and ducks visit us looking for food. One of the geese stole a carrot from Cam's hand and another tried to nibble on my foot. The river gives a new, beautiful view the city. It was a fun end-of-summer outing!
